The dismissive attitude frequently encountered at networking functions towards charity representatives based on ignorance that denigrates the voluntary sector as a mere part-time occupation of no real strategic value in economic terms.
Based on these remarks we in this essential sector have to work so much harder and smarter to not only advance our own cause, but endeavour to create a better image for us all to change such negative perceptions. Collaboration as the first step to muster collective strength will go a long way.
