Alan Lockyer, a Unitec Institute of Technology, Human Resource Management lecturer and researcher, and NZARC Trustee has been conducting research and compiling data on NZ not-for-profit organisations (NPOs) for the last 2 years.

His research concerns Performance Evaluation and Management Practices of New Zealand Not For Profit Organisations and in this first instalment we present the following findings:

  • Types of people/groups NPOs typically served
  • Number of people typically served on an annual basis
  • Decade NPOs founded
  • NPOs current annual operating budget
  • Sources (in percentages) of NPOs annual operating budget
