Redesigning a website for a non-profit is tough work. It starts off as something simple – ‘hey our website could probably use a makeover, let’s get on that’. Then it devolves into decisions about what kind of Content Management System you’re going to use, and words like “mobile-friendly” and “SEO” become part of your regular vocabulary!

Vandelay Design recently posted a great article ‘40 of the Best Websites of Non-Profit Organizations’ that we had to share. These are websites that are beautifully designed, functional, and make clear what their purpose is within seconds of being on the home page. Keep an eye out in particular for how these websites utilise ‘Call to Action’ buttons – things like ‘Donate Now’, in order to engage the viewer and get them involved.
